Job Description

WebSphere Administrator

- The primary responsibility is to manage WebSphere, especially legacy
middleware systems.
- Prior experience with WebSphere upgrades is essential.
- Linux knowledge is crucial due to its significant role in the job.
- Familiarity with MQ is beneficial but not a strict requirement.
- Expectation for potential future upgrades and configuration changes,
including familiarity with the WebSphere Administration console.
- DevOps experience, especially with Jenkins and puppet, is beneficial.
- Understanding of CICD processes to assist developers.
- The team does not deal with vendor applications; the focus is on
in-house code deployment.
- The candidate will be part of a team of 28, working closely with a
subset of 10, which includes management, developers, application support
engineers, and a business analyst. The team will eventually have an
architect.
