Job Description

Currently looking for a strong SRE or Cloud DevOps candidate. This is a
100% remote opportunity.

Must have strong GCP experience

Main skills:
• Strong Linux experience.
• Experience with cloud and on-prem SaaS hosting.
• Terraform and Ansible experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Comfortable writing technical documentation for other engineers

You will be responsible for:
• Maintaining collocated and cloud-based infrastructure for WellSky
SaaS applications.
• Contribute to our ongoing cloud migration to GCP.
• Driving continued operational excellence through DevOps and SRE
initiatives in areas surrounding reliability, availability,
observability, and security.
• Working with delivery leaders and teams to instill best practices in
application and infrastructure designs, building with reliability and
operations in mind.
• Contributing to the operational strategy and roadmap for the SRE
program, including building and optimizing existing systems, improving
deployments, and eliminating work through automation.
• Engaging with Engineering and Leadership Teams to provide project
plans and technical guidance.
• Understanding the business value, market strategy, architecture,
performance, risks, etc to provide recommendations that best support the
roadmap, focusing on increasing customer satisfaction.
• Participating in on-call rotations.

• Preference for experience in Ruby, but solid back-end or full-stack
experience with another framework/language combination

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Software Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems,
Information Technology or related field, or equivalent relevant work
experience.
• 7 years or equivalent experience (Senior level or higher) supporting
high availability systems and deploying, managing, and optimizing
large-scale, mission critical SaaS Solutions in a fast-paced
environment.
• 7 years of work experience within / across Site Reliability or
DevOps, with experience in CI/CD and build pipelines.
• 7 years experience in operations, including defining and
implementing infrastructure designs to support large-scale systems.
• 7 years experience with on-prem and/or cloud-based infrastructure.
Experience with AWS and/or GCP is preferred.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks. Experience
with Terraform preferred.
• Experience managing production systems using Ansible.
Preferred Experience:
• In-depth experience managing production Linux-based systems (on-prem
or cloud).
• CI/CD setup and tuning (Azure DevOps Pipelines or Jenkins)
• Container Based Developments (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
• Experience with Google Cloud (GCE, GKE, Container/Artifact
Repository, CloudSQL, etc).
• Some experience with a full-stack web development framework.
