PayPal, etc.

Is there a way to make drive it with http or API or XML from your own 
server appication directly?   My goal would be to have end users only 
see the web pages I create and never to to the paypal site or even click 
a link that submitts to their site.  I just need the CC processing.  Is 
there another service that better accomplishes this?
