Speaking of (potentially) coprocessor-related problems:

This is 0.99.4, so it MAY have been fixed at some point. I don't remember
seeing any changes that affect it, but a local news problem ate the 0.99.7
announcement.... (If SLS ever stabilizes I'll upgrade. I decided not to do
it piecemeal after realizing all the chicken-and-egg problems inherent in the
libc and kernel upgrades.)

I tried to compile a program that, unbeknownst to me, had the following in it:

#define OVERFLOW 8.988465674311578e307
#define UNDERFLOW 4.450147717014403e-308

Linux crashed without a panic message. Somehow this seems to not be the
appropriate response.... :-} System is a 386/33 with 387, both Intel.
